Meet my guest, and fellow Wild Rose Press author, Kathryn Knight! She has a New Release- Haunted Souls– and I love a good ghost story! How about you?
Haunted Souls by Kathryn Knight
Haunted Souls is a Paranormal Romantic Suspense (Military Romance + Ghost Mystery). A new release from The Wild Rose Press.
Four years ago, Emily Shea and Staff Sergeant Brett Leeds agreed to part with no strings attached. Sparks flew during their brief affair, but fate intervened, sending Brett overseas. When an unexpected pregnancy derailed Emily’s own plans, her attempts to locate Brett were soon overwhelmed by the challenges of single motherhood. Now, Brett has returned home, and Emily is forced to share her secret.
Despite feeling betrayed, Brett is determined to forge a relationship with their son, Tyler. As the former lovers battle both their inner demons and their mutual desire, another presence enters their lives—Tyler’s imaginary friend.
Soon, however, the chilling evidence points to a different conclusion: a ghost has formed a dangerous connection with their son. Emily’s attempts to help both a lost soul and a friend in need spiral toward a deadly confrontation, and Brett must race to save Emily before he loses her again—forever.

I do love a good ghost story- and several of my stories have one- but I don’t want and real life ghost adventures. (Ie: I’m  a big chicken!)
I’ve had a few times in my life that I thought I might’ve encountered a ghost. Have you? I’d love to hear about it!
Thank you for featuring Haunted Souls today!
You’re welcome, Kathryn! It looks like a great story!
Good luck on the release. Love the creepy cover.
Thank you! The cover is exactly what I envisioned 🙂
Ooh, this sounds so good! I love ghost stories. 🙂
Me too! Hope you enjoy if you give it a read 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
So looking forward to reading this! Best of luck with this new release, Kathryn!
Hi Katie! Thanks and hope you enjoy!
LOVE the setup for this one! And the cover, haunting, and love the addition of the dog-tags.
I don’t know that I’ve ever truly encountered a ghost, but the closest I came was when we were in a bed and breakfast in Salem, Massachusetts. The home was owned by one of the women who was accused and found guilty of witchcraft (Bridget Bishop, I think). That night I felt like there was something hanging above me as I tried to sleep, pressing down on me. It felt smothering, and terrifying, but it could have been my imagination. However, I won’t be returning to find out. (Big chicken here, too, Maureen!)
Thanks for sharing and best wishes for HAUNTED SOULS!
Wow- that sounds pretty creepy, M.J.! I love reading that kind of stuff, but don’t know if I’d be brave enough to stay at that bed and breakfast, lol.
I think that would scare me too! Thanks for sharing – Salem is near me, maybe I’ll have to go check out the B&B – in the daylight!
Oh, wow. I literally reared back in my chair when I read the part about the ghost. YIKES. Nice twist and I love the cover! Good luck to you.
Love that response! Thanks for commenting!
Wow! Love Gothics, ghosts, old dwellings, the whole fabric of fear. This sounds compelling! Good luck.
Hi Susan! Thanks, I think this story has all the things I like too – write what you want to read is my mantra!
A reunion story and a ghost? Cool. Looking forward to reading this.
Yay! Hope you enjoy, Diane! Thanks for coming by 🙂
Yeah…I’m not much on ghost experiences, although I’ve read some pretty good stories with ghosts in them… Nora Roberts’ Boonsboro Inn trilogy is one that comes to mind.
Good luck and God’s blessings with these!
PamT
I love a good ghost story. Not sure if I read those, Pam. I’ll have to check that series out, too.
Nora Roberts has some great ghost story/romances that are the same genre mix as this one – Midnight Bayou is one of my favorites, and also the In the Garden trilogy. Thanks for commenting!
Wow, that sounds like a very interesting plot. A lot going on as they reconnect, the new dad gets to know his son and they struggle to keep him safe. Another TBR book! Thanks for sharing.
There is a lot going on – pretty fast-paced story with plots that weave together. Hope you give it a try and thanks for coming by!
Great cover and the plot? Awesome! Best wishes on your upcoming book. i think you’ve penned a winner –
I hope so, Ashantay! I’m loving all the Rose support – Thank you!
Hi Kathryn…so glad to see you have a new release! (I’m aka Ally Robertson, you might remember me from TWRP :)). Sounds awesome and spine tingling!!! Love the premise and the cover. I think I’ve had some ‘near’ ghostly encounters. I definitely believe there are things out there we can’t explain… Best wishes on your new release!
Course I remember you, Ally – one of my favorite editors even though we didn’t get to work together officially – you gave me the feedback I needed to realize my dream! Thanks for coming by and commenting!
Wow, great story concept! I love a good ghost story. 🙂 Love your cover, too. The dog tags are a nice touch. Good luck with the book!
Thank you, Leah! I hope it gives people some fun entertainment and a few shivers along with the heat!
